Sneak Peak Occasions 2016 - Timeless Textures

Hello Again!

Are you ready for another sneak peak.

Well I had so much fun yesterday doing the video on the Blooming Hearts card I couldn't wait to get back in a create another card today.

On this card I have used Timeless Textures.

Oh My Gosh I love love love this set!

The sentiment is from the Picture Perfect set stamped onto Vellum and layered onto a framelit from Rose Garden thinlits.

I will be using those two sets in the next few days so stay tuned.

Colours used to create this card front are, Smoky Slate, Basic Grey Archival, Basic Black Archival inks on a piece of Whisper White.

The front is then layered onto Basic Black using dimensionals.

Sneak Peek Occasions 2016 - Bloomin Heart

Hello Again!

Today I did something a little different :)

I made a video to go with the card I had made.

Here I have used the Bloomin Hearts Thinlits from the 2016 Occasions catalogue to create this card. 

I started by sponging over a piece of Whisper White big enough to cover the Thinlit with Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake and a touch of Rose Red.

Run through Bigshot using a sandwich of: Magnetic Platform, Precision Plate, Sponged C/S, Die (sharp edge down) then top acrylic plate.

This Bloomin Hearts Thinlit is fairly intricate so you will have to be careful when trying to release from die - BUT when you watch the video you will get to see a brand new handy little tool that will be available in the 2016 Occasions Catty! 

I find these intricate die really flimsy and sometimes tear especially when using DSP. 

Here I have a solution to add a bit of "toughness " to it while still leaving it really pretty and durable.

Once cut out, cover piece in versamark then dust with Clear Embossing powder and heat set - do this step twice to achieve more strength in the die cut.

Now as I said you have to be gently on me as it's my second video. I am truly Australian so I do sometimes speak fast and use the Ozzie slang - Gunna (going to) there is no airs and graces with us here in the bush.

GDP014 - Sneak Peak Occasions 2016 - Love You Sew

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project challenge.

On this card I am showing you again the Love You Sew Hostess stamp set from the new 2016 Occasions Catalogue.

I got this set in a Prize Patrol at Onstage and there I had several ideas I wanted to get onto paper. 

Do you ever feel you want to go out and paint the town RED, well I have painted this card in various colours. 
Am loving the little brush in this set - well loving all the stamps.

Sneak Peak Occasions 2016 - Love You Sew

This Hostess set from the upcoming Occasions Catalogue is just too cute!

When I seen it at Onstage I knew I wanted to make a quilted card. This is the first time I have done so much sewing on anything lol.

To create the quilt I have punched random colours using the 1 inch Punch and adhered all together on a piece of Whisper White c/s, then trimmed to neaten up. Using the zig zag function on my handy little sewing machine, sewn all the connecting lines. 

Adhered this piece to a Pink Pirouette c/s and sewed around the outer edge.

Stamp and cut out the sentiment, scissors and spool, place around the card front.

I love how this card turned out!

There are some cute saying in this must have set.

Hydrangea Garden

Well Hello!!!!

I have coloured using Stampin'Up's Marina Mist and Mossy Meadow with Aqua Painters. Extra flowers have been fussy cut and layered onto image to create a 3D effect using Dimentionals

GDP013 - Square Pillow Box

Well it is the first day of summer here and it really is getting quite warm!

Today I have created this Pillow Box for the Global Design Project challenge

I have extended the Pillow box to easily accommodate a generous amount of Maltesers to have as handy gifts for visitors.
