Occasions catalogue 2015 - Time To Celebrate

We should celebrate every day for the things that make us very happy!
While my hubby is recuperating in hospital,  thought I would make a card with the
"Time To Celebrate" Hostess stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue.

I wanted a couple of the balloons to carry this one away, so I stamped and fussy cut 3 images (no not really my gorgeous Brother Scan & Cut machine did it for me lol).
I completely cut off 2 of the baskets and lines, with the third one I left alone.
Coloured with Blendabilities so each one matched.
Then I sponged a piece of the Irresistibly Yours DSP (that you can get for FREE when you spend $90) with Soft Sky.
Now when I laid down the balloon image I notice the inside parts where white so I used the Aqua Painters to shade in with Soft Sky to match the base.

To stamp the tag I first stamped the outline from the "One Tag Fits All" stamp set, then if you are using rubber stamps you will notice a cutout rubber piece held within, use that to stamp in a light colour.

I hope you like this card!

Beautiful Bunch - Petite Petals

I wanted a break from the Occasions Catalogue to make some flowers while hubby is in hospital (nothing major this time round, he is getting stent removed, poor fella has had 5 surgeries since October 2014 - hopefully this is last one ever).
So I started stamping an punching and I lost track of how many I had done and by the time I finished I had made ten or so.
So I thought I better make a card for some of them.

I love how the flowers turned out and there will be instructions below on how to make them.

If you have any questions please contact me.
I hope you like this card

First you will need to stamp and punch 3 each of the gorgeous matching flowers from the Beautiful Bunch & Petite Petals stamp sets. Here I have stamped in Soft Suede then sponged in the new Color Box Chalk Ink Rose Coral from the Occasions Catalogue

Next you will turn flowers over and spritz with water

Once wet, pinch together the ends on all 6 petals on all flowers

Yes they don't look very nice at the moment but let flowers completely dry
before moving on to next step. They should look similar to these.

You will need something with a rounded end (I have used one of my old Acrylic Nail Brushes with the brush removed) or use your stylus from your score board. Run around the centre on a really soft pad to curve centre up

This is how it will look after running circles in centre, do this to all flowers. Now pull apart each of the petals a little so they are not so squished.

Next you will layer flowers off setting each one so they look like in picture. When adding the smaller flowers do the same off setting but really squish the last one in to create the centre.

Finished flower

This flower I coloured using Real Red to stamp then sponged ends with Cherry Cobbler, then spritzed with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Guy Greetings

We all need a few male cards in our stash ready for our loved ones and these I always find hard to create. With this set "Guy Greetings" from the Occasions Catalogue it is perfect. I think this one is going to stay in my drawer forever.
I love giving handmade cards to my dad, the look on his face when he opens it is priceless. It has gotten bad though as he won't let mum throw any of them out.

On this card I have also used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch for both pieces to create tag. To create the bottom part, place a Circle Die at bottom and just run it through bigshot just enough to cut out.

I hope you like this card

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Indescribable Gift

Well yes I am a bit late blogging today, but I have a good excuse.
We attended the Yanco Markets and very much enjoyed the day although it was a bit slow being a long weekend in Australia.
So after getting home and settling in thought I better get to it, I do miss my craft room when not at home lol.
Anyway I have chosen this gorgeous stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue "Indescribable Gift" and stamped three times matching the branch to meet perfectly using my Stamp-a-jig then coloured in the Blendabilities

I do love how it has turned out, I hope you do also

Saleabration 2015 - A Happy Thing

I am having an awesome time with these Saleabration product's.
Did you know you can choose 1 of 11 free products for every $90 you spend.

Anyway onto today's card.
First thing in the morning I make a cuppa an go out and sit on the back patio and listen to all the birds calling out. We live in a tiny rural town so there is hardly any traffic noise and it is it is a beautifully peaceful way to start any day!
So when I finished I came in and got out the "A Happy Thing" stamp set, wasn't sure how I was going to use it I just knew I wanted to colour it in.

Anyway I hope you like this card

Occasions Catalogue 2015 - Hello Life

Oh my gosh, this year is going so quick already.
Can't believe January is nearly over, so that means Valentines Day is just
around the corner.
Awe feeling the love and it's a perfect excuse (although we don't need excuses) to use the Hello Life stamp set from the Occasions catalogue.
I am loving Photopolymer stamps as you can easily line up images without using the
stamp-a-ma-jig. Well I better get on with my day, I hope you like these cards.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
