Painter's Palette & Swirly Scribbles

Well what to do on a beautiful rainy morning!!! Get your craft on!!!

I played with the Swirly Scribbles thinlits and I am one for creating my own backgrounds, so this card has come about by making a mask from the squiggly lines from the dies. I like how this looks almost tribal.

To make the mask, die cut the image then remove all pieces. Put the squiggly lines back in place and adhere around the edges to hold in place.

Place the mask over the top section of your whisper white and sponge using the new Sweet Sugarplum ink. Move mask down the page and continue till you have a nice even flow.

Stamp your sentiment from the Painter's Palette stamp set which will be available from the new Annual Catalogue from the 1st June. Using the Layering Squares (also new in Annual Catty) to cut out sentiment piece and another square a little bigger of Basic Black for backing. Stamp the Easel onto your sponged backing piece in Basic Black Archival ink.

Die cut a little larger square of DSP to add behind the sentiment piece.
Inside you can also add a little sponging with the mask.

Sitting Here

This morning I got to play with the Sitting Here stamp set from the new annual catalogue. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it but knew that I just wanted the swinging seat just as a bench.

Here in our little rural town we have lot's of veranda's with bench seats on them and our ever faithful fur babies nearby. I couldn't  figure out how to do my veranda so we are in the meadow.

I have stamped the bench and fussy cut so I could use the rope pieces as bench legs and is adhered to backing piece with dimensionals
Sponged background is Old Olive and So Saffron. Tree is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

Sneak Peak - Mixed Borders

I have a new obsession!!!!
Loving the Copper Embossing Powder which you will be able to purchase from the new catalogue on the 1st June 2016.

Here I have embossed the Mixed Borders (also available from the new catty)  image and sentiment onto a vellum strip. Taking a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock I have stamped the same images in Bermuda Bay.
Take another piece of Bermuda Bay a tad bigger than the stamped piece and ink all edges in versamark, then dip in copper embossing powder and heat set. Layer this piece behind stamped image.

Nothing escaped the Copper Powder. I versamarked some Rhinestones and dipped in powder then heat set.

Yes I know there is some wasted embossing powder going on here but I couldn't help myself
