Happy Notes - Paper Players #255

Hi All!
It is nice and sunny here but still a bit chilly at 1 deg cel hence staying inside.
Why not head on over and check out the new challenge at the Paper Players blog.

This is my creation for the challenge, I have used the Happy Notes stamp set an Lots Of Tags framelits. I have coloured the sentiment using the Subtitles collection markers straight to stamp then give a little "huff"on stamp to heat then stamp onto cardstock.
Then flower is from the Petite Petals stamp set. To get the veins I have stamped using the plant from By the Tide set. Got this idea from a good friend Tamie Holt.

Paper Players 253 - Me = Grateful

Hi all!

Today I wanted to play along again with the Paper Players 253 colour challenge and the colour scheme they have chosen is fabulous.

Mint Macaron is such a gorgeous soft green and goes beautifully with any shade of brown.

Firstly is stamped the branch from the "An Open Heart" stamp set in Mint Macaron then lightly dab Smoky Slate ink pad onto the Brick Wall TIEF before running through the Bigshot, this will create colour in your grout lines. Sponge a Tea Lace Paper Doily in Mint Macaron.
The sentiment on the Scalloped tag is from the Me=Grateful stamp set and is coloured using markers straight onto stamp.

To create the flowers you can use the 2 3/8 scallop punch and 1 1/4 scallop punch shown below in picture.

Once cut out just roll the scalloped pieces to form a flower then adhere. Use a pair of tweezers to curl the petal edges.

Paper Cake

Hi All!
Yesterday I was in a flower making mood, then I wanted to do another paper cake and when you mix the two you can get some amazing creations if you put your mind to it.

On this cake I wanted it to be White and Gold which I actually found hard because Stampin Up don't have any of the beautiful flowery back ground stamps that are current, so you will have to excuse me for using this gorgeous retired one.

The flowers are made using only two colours of card stock - Whisper White and Brushed Gold (again sadly retired) Listed below you will see what punch's and die needed to make these flowers.

Spiral Flower Die to make the bigger flowers, these can be rolled in a single layer or use two and roll together to make a fuller flower

For the smaller flowers you will use only 2 punches, 2 3/8 Scallop Punch & 1 1/4 Scallop Punch. Punch out using the smaller punch then punch over that using the bigger punch (saves on wastage) then using your paper snips trim close to the edge of the inside of the scallops as pictured below. Roll your flowers then use Tombow to adhere.

I hope you like my creation!
